Qualcomm CTO Named to CTIA Board

Wireless industry association CTIA announced that Durga Malladi, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Technology Planning & Edge Solutions, of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has joined CTIA’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.

“We are thrilled to add Durga to our Board of Directors,” said CTIA President/CEO Meredith Attwell Baker. “We welcome his two decades of experience and extensive knowledge of 5G and mobile broadband. We are eager to work with Durga, and on behalf of the wireless industry to secure America’s global economic competitiveness and innovation leadership.” 

Durga is responsible for product management and roadmap planning across all businesses in Qualcomm Technologies, spanning artificial intelligence, connectivity including 5G, processors, multimedia and more. In addition, he is responsible for Qualcomm Technologies’ cellular infrastructure business. Previously Durga served as Senior Vice President of Engineering where he led wireless research in 5G and 4G LTE/LTE-Advanced and drove the 5G Modem-RF technology roadmap and mobile broadband business at Qualcomm Technologies.

“I am honored to join CTIA’s Board of Directors and contribute to the advancement of the wireless industry,” stated Malladi. “I look forward to collaborating with industry leaders to drive innovative wireless and AI technology to advance the state-of-the-art in cellular networks and devices, providing ubiquitous feature-rich connectivity for American consumers.”
