PerfectVision Takes Its Products On the Road Again

PerfectVision manufactures and distributes more than 10,000 products that support wireless deployments, including DAS, small cells and 5G, as well as tower sites, broadband networks, and wireline deployments. These products include steel antenna sector mounts, microwave mounts, and accessories.

Considering the significant size and weight of the steel products, PerfectVision had to get creative with its customer presentations. About seven years ago, the team held a brainstorm session. They developed a literal roadmap for a roadshow, displaying their latest products on a flatbed trailer and traveling to customer locations across the nation.

“We have the demo trailer to showcase and inform the industry about how our products are innovative and are changing the industry,” Phillip Moore, Product Marketing Manager at PerfectVision, said. “We are bringing a different perspective and approach.”

This year, in the middle of the trailer, the Climb-Maxx Wire Rope safety climb is mounted on a short section of a tower with a sector frame.

“Including our Climb-Maxx on the Demo Trailer is a big push for us because it promotes safety on the tower,” said Ryan Hutchcroft, Regional Sales Manager. “It showcases the safety benefits in a way that people can see and feel. It’s more impactful than viewing a photo. It’s a totally different experience.”

“The demo trailer gives us the opportunity to take our full size products to contractors and engineers, who can get hands-on experience,” said Brenton Barton, Engineer at PerfectVision. “We find engineers who are really surprised by the size of the steel components. It’s a whole immersive experience for them.”

The Guardian Series Sector Frame is mounted on the back of the trailer, which is the primary sector mount offered by PerfectVision. On the front of the trailer, PerfectVision has installed an equipment platform and canopy, which carriers are installing on sites to elevate their equipment or cover it from the weather.

“The canopy is unique because it’s very modular,” Barton said. “We have a range of sizes and options, including handrails and a cable tray on the underside of the canopy so equipment can be placed underneath.”

The road show launches each year at NATE UNITE and then travels around the nation for nine months. PerfectVision has divided the country into six segments, each of which have the demo trailer five to seven weeks, depending on the size of the territory. The demo trailer travels around the territory, visiting carriers, general contractors, and A&E firms to demonstrate PerfectVision’s products.

After visiting all the regions, it will end up in Colorado at one of PerfectVision’s facilities to get revamped for next year’s NATE UNITE, where the process of educating the industry will begin again.
