Enclosures Needed to Support 5G Buildout
Raycap’s 5G network solutions include shrouds and other customized enclosure and connectivity products designed to accommodate all 4G/5G radios and active equipment for small cell and macro cell sites.
“Our enclosures support the rollout of 5G networks everywhere by providing infrastructure solutions such as ground and side-mounted cabinets, concealments, enclosures, cable and active equipment used in wireless and broadband networks,” Kelly Richards, Senior VP of Sales at Raycap, said.
Raycap’s primary customers for cabinets and custom enclosures in the U.S. and Europe are telecom carriers building out their 5G networks as well as broadband service providers and industrial OEMs.
“We manufacture products for our North America customers in one of our three U.S.-based manufacturing facilities. On the East Coast in Charleston, South Carolina and Kearny, New Jersey; and the West Coast in Post Falls, Idaho,” said Richards. “Cabinets for our European customers are produced in our large manufacturing campuses in Greece and Slovenia.”
Raycap’s ground cabinets are constructed from recyclable aluminum, so they are strong and durable, as well as friendly to the environment, according to Richards. “We don’t use polycarbonate as some other manufacturers do. Our telecom enclosures and shrouds are all designed with ease of equipment configuration and network scalability in mind.”

Expanded Product Lines
In late 2023, Raycap introduced new fiber demarcation and power distribution and protection cabinets to the North American market that can be customized to the particular 5G infrastructure needs of a carrier or a geographic location. In 2024, after many years of serving the European market, the company has introduced its line of power supply products to North America.
“We also added flexibility to our pole-mounted shrouds and toppers with redesigned shrouds and our RaycapStax™ product,” Richards said. “These are used on the sides or tops of buildings or poles to house infrastructure that provides 5G service to dense urban areas.”
The new shroud products support a variety of radio OEMs, radio quantities, and other active equipment, with a new backplane design accommodating products of various sizes and at different levels. RaycapSTAX allows operators to design topper configurations depending on the active equipment needed at a site and help site retrofits. The radios can be positioned optimally (and even eventually upgraded) depending on the needs of that particular site. Concealment material options are also flexible and include traditional StealthSkin® material and InvisiWave®, Raycap’s specialized 5G mmWave-friendly concealment technology.
“All our new cabinets, shrouds and stackable toppers are designed to accommodate and enable more flexible equipment configurations and field updates,” Richards said.

Cross-Functional Coordination
Across sales, engineering, supply chain, operations and quality control, Raycap’s teams work together not just in North America but worldwide to create a seamless experience for its customers. The ability to design, quickly prototype, manufacture and deliver in the U.S. gives Raycap an edge, according to Richards.
“We may be in different locations or time zones, but we have the visibility needed for our business processes to work and deliver on time and within budget,” she said. “At Raycap, we like to say that we don’t have products; we have customers. So, we stay close to our customers and listen to them so we can present solutions based on what we are hearing from them.”
Ready for Continued Rollout
The rollout of wireless and broadband service in North America and Europe will help Raycap stay busy this year and well into the future providing infrastructure to support its customers.
“Raycap has a diverse product line that crosses many different business lines. But regardless of the industry our solutions are designed for, we are much more than a manufacturer of products,” Richards said. “We are a trusted solutions provider for our customers, and in some cases, we are an extension of their product development teams. They know we will be doing this with them for the long haul.”

There, it will showcase its telecom infrastructure equipment such as overvoltage protection and connectivity solutions for macro cell sites, ground cabinets, side-mounted shrouds, pole toppers and other concealments, as well as its power management and environmental monitoring solutions.
